I find it hard narrowing Down a whole wedding day into 10 pictures for the blog, there is so much story to tell. Sometimes I am with the Bride and groom for 14 hours,  photographing the pre wedding gitters to a full dance floor.

More and more the traditions are changing, sometimes there are no speeches or first dances, or the cake cut is not something the couple really wants to do. Some couples choose games instead, or skits, which I have seen some phenomenal ones done. No matter what your wedding celebration choices are, having a photographer capture the day is important.  Couples come back after getting their pictures and say they laughed and cried viewing them,  or they don’t recall a moment that was captured. I love being able to recreate the day for them.

I hear a lot of couples choosing not to have a wedding photographer because of budget, but after the wedding, it is the only tangible thing you have left to tell the whole story of your day.
Although there are many family members who may be able to snap some great shots , keep in mind they may not be prepared for a rainy day(your photographer should have a back up location) or a very dark Reception venue which many Lethbridge Reception locations are, or a group very uncomfortable with having their picture’s taken.
You are hiring someone with experience who has shot in many challenging conditions and no doubt has made a few mistakes and learned from them, you are paying someone who has spent several hours, even days and months, taking classes & practicing, and you are hiring someone who no doubt has passion for what they are doing and have invested their heart and soul into making your day picture perfect.

There are many amzing wedding photographers in and around lethbridge and southern alberta who are extremely talented and all with very different styles, take the time to look around find a style you love and make sure your comfortable with the person who will be spending the entire day capturing one of your most important memories.
This should be just as important as the perfect dress, cake or flowers because without the pictures those things are easlily forgotten.
Just a thought of the day, I felt I needed to share !!

Now on to this amazing couple, Quintina & Mike.
From the first 5 minutes of the engagement session I knew I was in for a treat. These two where non-stop laughing and I couldn’t wait to shoot the wedding.

The two got married at the Ready-Made community hall outside. The weather was perfect, in fact one of the few days this summer where everyone was not melting.
Although the day was not without its challenges, it was very smoky.

Thank you to Tanya Plonka Photography for second shooting for me!

This was a really unique idea, and a great change up from the sand ceremony

It was a little crazy with Burdocks everywhere but Quintina was a champ about getting through the patch with her dress on.

After we did a few pictures at a nearby local farm, we headed to the taber campground for some bridal party portraits.

Quintina and mike had their puppy as the ring bear, he was so cute!

I have never had the opportunity to do a sparkler send off photos, although there are photos where the sparklers are the focus of the photo I loved the interaction caught between the two. This was such a fun idea!
